We were created for fellowship and communion with God. All the way back to the genesis of creation it is plain to see that man was never meant to live apart from connection and open dialogue with The One who formed him from the dust of the earth. An otherwise disconnection and lack of subsequent communication with our Creator is simply unnatural.

In just over a week (from May 1st through 11th), Christians from all across the globe will be joining in a massive movement of prayer and fasting to seek God and prepare the way for heaven to touch earth. It will begin with the National Day of Prayer (for the United States of America) and culminate on Pentecost Sunday, which is also the Global Day of Prayer.

I am encouraging everyone I know to enter into this season of seeking God. As an added resource, our church website will be posting a daily prayer focus to concentrate on a specific target each day.

“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.” (1 John 5:14, 15)

Ask, seek, knock, pray…and expect.
