Global Day of Prayer 2008 - Using technology to broadcast prophecy

May 11th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Using Technology for Advancing the Kingdom

An amazing thing happened in our church service this morning (one of many). Right in the middle of our praise and worship as we were singing, we tapped into The Call live from Jerusalem on the internet and broadcasted it on our big screen.

At that very moment, the worship leader (in Jerusalem) began to prophesy about the coming forth of the Nazarites. (A term being used to describe the consecrated young people of this generation). He also encouraged others to sanctify themselves and be set apart to minister the gospel to the nations. Simultaneously we all rose to our feet to join with the others there in prayer. To say that it was powerful would be an understatement.

This word had a profound affect on our congregation. It also opened our eyes to other possibilities as to how we can use technology to advance the kingdom. What an incredible blessing to be able to join with others in worship in another part of the world.

I’m curious about the making of a Nazarite. I think, perhaps, we’re seeing the first steps of the formation of several Nazarites in our midst. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our services on our young people is only the beginning.

From here, I think they learn to operate in the power of God. I think they learn to hear the voice of God. Then, they begin to prophecy and lay hands on the sick and see them healed. I’m putting it out there in faith.
