Transformation - The Pathway to Purpose.

August 13th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Spiritual Growth and Development

One of my favorite passages of scripture is Romans chapter 12, verses 1 and 2:

“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of all the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy devoted, consecrated, and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable, rational, intelligent service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the entire renewal of your mind so that you may prove for yourselves what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

We have not been “born-again” to just add a little bit of Jesus to our already busy and crowded life. When we took the step of faith to receive Him as Lord we became a “new creation,” something and someone that never existed before. The Spirit of God is now within us, fashioning and reforming us into His image. As our minds and thought processes are shaped with truth, we are being equipped to live out divine purposes on earth.

Each of us has embarked on a unique personal journey with God. Our past experiences and individual design are converging with our current understanding of Who He is to further move us into opportunities to fulfill the divine purposes.

Many are looking for something good and noble to do for God. Others are hoping for something to change in their life. It is the attention and acknowledgement that we give to the internal transformations that changes everything else about us.

Stop waiting for God to change everyone else. Stop waiting for God to change your circumstances. Yeild to the inner transformations and you will be surprised by the new perceptions that come as a result of the renewed you.
