I have been noticing a principle in motion during times of anointed apostolic and prophetic communication. When preaching, teaching, etc. in sync with the Holy Spirit many times things are said that are not planned or noted to be conveyed at that particular time. Words spoken under this unction create “pathways of possibility.” They also release a dynamic of faith that provides the impetus to begin to move there.

A Word For Fathers
June 14th, 2008 · No Comments · Spiritual Growth and Development
“After all, though you should have ten thousand teachers (guides to direct you) in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the glad tidings (the Gospel).” [1 Corinthians 4:15]
Tomorrow is Father’s Day. Many families will be spending time together and celebrating. Let us also remember to show appreciation to the spiritual fathers who have sacrified to see us become established in the faith.
I’m going to defer to Seth Barnes and Gary Black as they share this great word about spiritual fathering.

Over the past few months I have become captivated by a particular term, “breakthrough.” Maybe it is due to the escalation of change that we are presently experiencing in the spirit. One thing is for sure, the Church is in a significant season of transformation.

I have been reading (for the third time) a book that I believe has been a forerunner to a lot of what is happening in the Kingdom right now. Even though it has been out for five years now, “When Heaven Invades Earth” by Bill Johnson, is packed with revelatory insights that can help us to function in our heavenly calling as we carry out the Great Commission.

Affirming the Apostolic and Prophetic Ministry
May 27th, 2008 · 2 Comments · Apostolic Perspectives
For over five years I served as a leader in one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in the U.S. The longer I served, the more I questioned the glaring inconsistencies between their stated doctrinal beliefs and the actual leadership of churches and the denomination as a whole. [Read more →]

Dis-connected?
May 26th, 2008 · No Comments · Spiritual Growth and Development
The last couple of months have been a really cool time of discovery for me as I press through certain barriers to learn some of the new cyber technologies. I have even created new behavior patterns whereby as soon as I get my morning brew I head for the “cave” of my library to boot things up and connect with others from around the world. I always look forward to what I might find in my mailbox and who might be reporting on what God is doing someplace else in the world.
Today, I am a fish out of water. Yesterday, my laptop revolted (it is in the O.R. as we speak - and I am praying for a healing…). So, here I am on a borrowed computer outside of my comfort zone. Not sure how long it will take, but I’m trying to cope. I guess it will lead me to learning another facet of God somehow.
If you don’t hear from me right away, or if you can suggest any immediate first-response assistance, pop me a quick comment. Thanks!

There is a principle of “breakthrough” that can be observed and applied to many areas. History is full of recorded incidents where a particular barrier has been penetrated and subsequently opened a pathway for others to enter into a new dimension. [Read more →]
